In my other post, The Application of the Law of Revival , I quoted that it is very simple to open ourselves. We can tell another sister or brother in the Lord that we are oppressed and old. Actually in the same book, The Law of Revival , the author even specifically mentions how we may see each other everyday and talk about many things yet are not aware of each other's spiritual condition. Then the section continues, "To be open does not mean to speak a frank word or to rebuke others. I've been waiting to be able to write this one. I think I'm still digesting all the things I've read from The Law of Revival , endeavoring to practice being revived. A practical revival should follow, don't you think? It's been few weeks where I've been, let's just say, down . I just felt so worn out within and without. I wish I could be burning and zealous for the things of God. You know, contacting and shepherding people, going on the gospel, be involved with a Christian club on campus, and so forth. Pardon the length of the post, but I promise you'll appreciate all the quotes I will include. I've been reading a book entitled " The Law of Revival " by Witness Lee . Originally published in Chinese between 1960 and 1961, I consider the content of this book extraordinarily profound yet practical.  I'd be glad to do a book review or summary, but I genuinely believe that this book is a must-read for every Christian out there who desires spiritual growth. In other words, you must buy and read it yourself to get the full impact. I believe that in recommending a book, one must build the author's credibility and reliability. This is basic etiquette. What does it mean to be revived? From the perspective of history, when people say revival , they generally mean an event in time where there was a significant increase of spiritual interest in a specific region after a period of decline, often characterized by mass conversions and burning zeal toward God. There was the First Great Awakening, then the Second, the Third, and finally, the Fourth Great Awakening. Yet many begin to wonder what happened? Where did that spirit of revival go? These days morality plummets and normality is distorted. Deep down, everyone knows we desperately need the Recovery of Revival. To be revived means "to bring back to life or consciousness; to resuscitate (to impart new health, vigor, or spirit); to restore, use, or activate." When I hear the word " spiritual revival ," I immediately think of a big Christian movement involving a large congregation of some sort. These words come to mind: dynamic, animated, exuberant, explosive, extraordinary , and so on.  Being revived definitely means "being made alive." Well,  I have experienced "being made alive," everyone. I don't know about you but as a God-seeker, sometimes I would come to the point of feeling dry and numb within. I mean outwardly, I would still read the Bible, pray, fellowship with other Christians, serve in the church, shepherd others, but inwardly, I would have this sense of numbness that's rather difficult to describe.
